Recharge Point Campbelltown City Council is committed to providing a Community that is accessible and inclusive for everyone.  Campbelltown’s Access and Inclusion Plan demonstrates Council’s commitment to improving the participation of people with disability across a range of areas so that they can enjoy the rights and opportunities provided to all citizens.

As reported in 2011 5.6% of the population in the local Campbelltown area needed help in their day -to-day lives due to their disability.

The NDIS scheme which rolled out in South Australia in 2013 aims to  provide all Australians under the age of 65 who have a permanent and significant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports they need to enjoy an ordinary life.

The NDIS is designed to help people wth disability achieve their goals. This may include greater independence, community involvement, employment and improved wellbeing. As an insurance scheme, the NDIS takes a lifetime approach, investing in people with disability early to improve their outcomes later in life.
